About the practice
Most people arrive after years of short appointments and half-answers. The practice was built to work the other way: fewer patients, longer visits, and enough time to understand a whole life rather than a list of symptoms.
Dr. Marsh trained in psychiatry at Northfield Hospital, taught psychopharmacology at university level, and spent seven years leading an outpatient mood disorders clinic before opening this practice. That background shapes a treatment style that is careful, conservative with medication, and honest about what is and is not known.

Paced breathing is one of the few techniques that works on the body directly, slowing the heart rate within a minute or two. It is not a treatment, and it will not fix what brought you here. But it is genuinely useful in a difficult moment, so it is here for free, no appointment needed.

Questions
If something you need to know is not answered here, send it through the form below and you will get a straight answer.
Yes. Follow-up appointments can be held by secure video for patients located in California. An initial consultation is usually held in person when possible, since a first assessment benefits from meeting face to face.
New patient consultations are typically available within two to three weeks. If your situation is more urgent, note that in your message and the practice will try to accommodate you sooner.
The practice is out of network with all insurers, which keeps appointments unhurried. A detailed superbill is provided after each visit so you can claim reimbursement directly from your insurer.
No. Medication is one option among several and it is always your decision. Many patients are treated with therapy alone, and some come specifically to reduce or stop medication they are already taking.
Everything discussed is confidential and protected under HIPAA. The only exceptions are the narrow situations required by law, such as an immediate risk to your safety or the safety of someone else.
A list of any current medications and doses, relevant past records if you have them, and the questions you most want answered. Nothing else is required.
